Rosemary Lemonade: A Heart-Centered Drink for Immune Support and Chakra Healing
So I have been craving rosemary lately. I've been wanting it as a tea, a cold drink, or some kind of way that can be soothing to my soul. A client offered me some rosemary and I felt like it was a sign to make something. I immediately hear "lemonade." I knew I had to get to work! There’s something undeniably magical about creating a beverage that nourishes both the body and the spirit. My intention in creating this lemonade was as a way to support my immune system and it evolved into a heart-healing ritual. I was also hoping my boys would enjoy it too. This special concoction combines rosemary, lemons, maple syrup, honey, and a hint of molasses. It’s not just a drink; it’s a practice of intentional healing.

Crafting Rosemary Lemonade: A Ritual of Intention
Making rosemary lemonade is more than following a recipe; it’s about infusing your intentions into each step. Here’s how to prepare it:
Ingredients:
-Small pot
- 4 cups of water
- 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary
- 2 large lemons (juiced)
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- A small drop of molasses
*When you're feeling extra creative add a few leaves of Basil, thank me later*
Steps:
1. Prepare Your Space: Before you begin, cleanse your space by lighting incense or simply taking a few deep breaths to center yourself. Set an intention for healing and love. I like to talk to the herbs I am preparing and ask them to release their healing properties (physical and spiritual) into whatever I am making.
2. Boil the Water: Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil. Add the rosemary sprigs and let them simmer for 10 minutes. As the aroma fills the air, visualize the rosemary’s energy purifying your space and your heart.
3. Juice the Lemons: While the rosemary steeps, juice the lemons. As you work, think about the clarity and vitality the lemons bring to your body and spirit. I usually just cut the lemons squeeze the juice into the pot and throw the slices in the pot for extra flavor.
4. Mix the Sweeteners: Combine the maple syrup, honey, and a small drop of molasses in a mixing bowl. Stir them together with love and gratitude, imagining them bringing sweetness and balance into your life.
5. Combine and Cool: Remove the rosemary from the water and pour it into a pitcher. Add the lemon juice and sweeteners, stirring until well mixed. Let it cool before serving.
6. Serve with Love: Pour the lemonade into a glass and take a moment to hold it in your hands. Visualize your heart chakra glowing green, open, and vibrant. Sip slowly, savoring the flavors and the healing energy.
Heart Chakra Healing Through Intention
The heart chakra, or Anahata, is the center of love, compassion, and emotional balance. When it’s blocked, you may feel disconnected, heavy-hearted, or guarded. Rosemary lemonade becomes a tool for heart chakra healing when made with intention.
- Focus on Gratitude: While preparing and drinking the lemonade, reflect on what you’re grateful for. Gratitude opens the heart chakra and aligns you with abundance.
- Affirmations for Healing: As you sip, repeat affirmations like:
- “I am open to giving and receiving love.”
- “My heart is healed and whole.”
-"I am divinely protected and loved."
- “Love flows freely to and from me.
- Meditation Practice: Pair your lemonade ritual with a heart-centered meditation. Visualize green light radiating from your chest, dissolving any blockages and filling you with peace.

ABOUT SHANDA
Trained dancer and choreographer Shanda Domango thought she knew her body until she became pregnant. She had already faced losing her parents, starting two businesses, and getting married. But becoming pregnant forced Domango to start her own healing journey.
"I was terrified of change, the future, and it was manifesting as physical pain, " says Domango.
Domango decided to reach out to an old
family friend who was a medium and spiritual healer. Minister Esprit, who began teaching Domango chakra-based and ancestral healing for her trauma and daily life.
Working with Minister Esprit, her Master's Degree in Arts Management, and her career in dance and fitness, Domango developed a new integrative approach to healing. Calling it Healing Movement, which is also influenced by somatic and embodiment practices, Domango used it as a way to improve her physical, mental, and emotional as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Finding she was losing weight, building muscle tone, and feeling clearer emotionally and spiritually, Domango decided to offer Healing Movement to others. She opened a studio and started using the practice to teach other women.
Working with organizations such as Metropolitan Human Services District, New Orleans Opera, and Essence Festival Wellness House, Domango has been educating and empowering women to heal and reconnect with their body and spirit.
“My twins are now three years old, and I am beyond grateful to have the tools to stay present and grounded as a woman and mother,” Domango says. Most importantly, I get to teach my boys a level of self-awareness and confidence that will last them a lifetime.”
